Kitchen Reno Part 1

YAY! We decided to give our very dated kitchen a mini makeover.

The biggest issues with our kitchen were:

  1. Lack of functionality

  2. A double basin (grimy and yucky) sink.

  3. It was poorly lit.

  4. We didn’t have a hood and the kitchen would just constantly smell like whatever we cooked the night before.

Our goals:

  1. Open up the space to allow more natural light and so it would feel bigger.

  2. Get a BIG 1 basin farmhouse sink.

  3. Put in open shelving to act as decorative storage for my favorite kitchen items.

  4. Brighten up the space with new backsplash and countertops.
