Her name is Theodora Lee, but in the wine world she’s known as Theo-Patra, Queen of the Vineyards. A Texas native and a senior partner and trial lawyer at Littler, Ms. Lee moved to San Francisco and her love affair with wine began. In 2003, she planted her 5 acre vineyard and Theopolis Vineyards was born. Following her first harvest in 2006 was awarded a stellar rating of 94-96 points. Since then, the love, praise and awards have continued to pour in. While she is most well known for her 2013 Estate Grown Petite Sirah, Theopolis Vineyards has a great variety available to order on her website.

Ms. Lee is continuing to practice law (as well as a PLETHORA of other jobs and involvements, really… I don’t know how she does it!) all while wow-ing the world with her wine. This past year brought a new set of challenges but she has embraced it - connecting with people virtually, doing Zoom and Facebook Live Tastings. Theodora has spoken about how the Black Lives Matter movement brought about a whole new wave of support. On Blackout Tuesday her sales skyrocketed.

Last summer Theodora spoke with Sunset Magazine and expressed, “The wine industry as a whole has a real opportunity to create systemic change, to serve as a catalyst to promote justice and equality. The BLM movement isn’t just about the Black community, it’s about everyone. We all eat and drink good wine. What better way to have a conversation about racism than to sit and break bread together? Let’s hope this is not just a moment, but a movement.” I couldn’t agree more. I <3 Theo-Patra!
